VJ-3 Slotted Case – ViewTech Borescopes
The ViewTech video borescope will arrive inside one of two ruggedized cases that will keep your borescope safe while not in use. The cases are a spool case or a slotted channel case. The spool case will contain a 5 or 8-meter insertion tube video borescopes, while 1, 1.5, 2 or 3-meter insertion tube video borescopes will be stored in a slotted-channel case.
With the 1, 1.5, 2 or 3-meter insertion tube length, start by gently grabbing the insertion tip with one hand and unwinding it from the slotted channel. Then with your free hand, remove the base unit by holding the handle and lifting it from the case.
When removing the borescope, it is imperative to always have one hand on the tip of the insertion tube once removed. Always protect the camera housing and tip from hitting or being crushed by a hard surface.
When returning the borescope to the case, it must always be stored with the bending section straight. Be sure to center the joystick to straighten the bending section prior to storage.
When returning a 1, 1.5, 2 or 3-meter insertion tube length borescope to the case, first place the base unit securely into the case, then carefully feed the insertion tube into and around the slotted channel.
Prior to shutting the case, visually inspect that there are no obstructions and the base unit, insertion tube, bending section tip, and all accessories are resting flush and will not get pinched or damaged when closing. You can prevent and avoid damage by carefully removing and returning the video borescope to its case.
